Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are going international in 2023! Their opening night on February 1 in Tampa, Florida featured a high-energy 28-song set which included rocking fan favorites like “Born To Run,” “Prove It All Night,” and “Wrecking Ball,” with The E Street Band effortlessly shifting to soul and R&B while complemented by a horn section and backing vocalists.
Springsteen fell in love with rock 'n roll when he saw Elvis on Ed Sullivan, and pursued music full time after getting classified 4-F in the '67 Vietnam War Draft. He began playing the bar circuit in New Jersey while assembling his famous E Street Band, receiving the nickname "The Boss," for collecting and distributing the money from each show evenly among his band mates. After signing with Columbia Records in 1973, Springsteen released the critically acclaimed "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J." but didn't start making it big till his third studio album in 1975, "Born to Run", peaked at No. 3 on Billboard. Rock superstardom came in 1984 with seven singles hitting the top of the Charts from his 7th album "Born in the U.S.A.", including the title track, "Glory Days," "Dancing in the Dark," and "I'm On Fire."
Springsteen has sold more than 140 million records worldwide, been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, received 20 Grammy's, two Golden Globes, an Academy Award, and a Special Tony Award (for Springsteen on Broadway), as well as the Kennedy Center Honors and Presidential Medal of Freedom.
